Having been involved in numerous student fashion shows over the years, Sophie wanted to organise her own, and what better cause to support than the Sophie Butler Nepal Fund. On 31st October 2009, at the Hall of Champions, The Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, the first Sophie Butler Hairdressing Charity Fashion Show was held. With live music by the Black Sheep Music Society and Katherine Skene, models, dancers, make-up artists and the Sophie Butler Hair team put on a fabulous cat-walk show, highlighting local shops and their amazing ranges of clothes for a full house.
With a raffle and silent auction, featuring a Luxury Catering package where a chef and sommelier from The Seafood Restaurant cook up a dinner party in your own home, a round of golf at Kingsbarns Golf Links and a year’s hairdressing services from Sophie Butler Hairdressing, £5,000 was raised for the 4 communities which are now supported in the Palpa District in South West Nepal.
